[Tak] (Febuary 5, 2020) Recently, Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Suguru Ono, the Director of Accounting and Finance, together with Bridgestone teammates, provided clothes and financial support for lunch expenses to Mae Tao Clinic through the World Vision Foundation of Thailand which were worth more than 800,000 Baht. Bridgestone was dedicated to elevate the living standard as well as enhance healthcare of border communities located between Thailand and Myanmar.
Mae Tao Clinic was founded by Dr. Cynthia Maung, an ethnic Karen and a Burmese medical doctor. The clinic is currently under the World Vision Foundation of Thailand, aiming to provide healthcare services and to promote the wellness of border Thailand-Myanmar communities without any charges. Also, there is the community health worker training provided to the locals in order to promote occupational opportunities. Moreover, there is child protection and education provided to underprivileged children in the area.
For over 51 years of operation, Bridgestone has continuously promoted the sustainability of Thai society. Concurrently, Bridgestone has helped promote better communities and create equal opportunities to migrant communities.
