Bridgestone Potenza Sport Takes Test Victory in The 2023 Auto Zeitung Summer Tyre Test
[Brussels] (September 14, 2023) - With top ratings in the braking, handling and driving safety in the wet disciplines, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport held its own against competitors and took the joint test victory in Auto Zeitung’s 2023 summer tyre test.
The UHP summer tyre in 19 inches also convinced the experts on the test track with its “flawless driving characteristics” and “extremely high grip” in the dry. The outstanding performance of the Potenza Sport is the result of innovative tyre development based on Bridgestone’s many years of racing experience and partnerships with prestigious vehicle manufacturers. The UHP tyre has been specially tailored to the needs of demanding drivers and delivers a high level of control and confidence.
“We are very pleased with the verdict of the renowned test experts at Auto Zeitung. To be honoured as test winner once again proves the high-quality standards with which we develop our state-of-the-art portfolio,” says Steven De Bock, Vice President Consumer Replacement and OE at Bridgestone EMIA. “With top products, we offer our retail partners a first-class range so that they can be number one for their end customers.”
Convincing sporting performance
In addition to the outstanding test result in Auto Zeitung, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport recently proved its qualities in the 2023 summer sports tyre test of Auto Bild sportscars. With the best performance both in the wet, as well as in the dry and circular drive on wet roads, the UHP tyre from Bridgestone secured the prestigious rating “exemplary”. With an overall score of 1.3, it also shows “good balance, precise steering behaviour [...] and respectable safety reserves in aquaplaning”, according to the test experts.
The Bridgestone Potenza Sport has already achieved nine podiums in renowned tyre test publications since its market launch at the beginning of 2021.
Bridgestone Potenza Sport offers best-in-class performance in the dry*1 and outstanding control in the wet*1, making it particularly convincing for disciplines where safety is an important feature. The premium tyre is also engineered to go further for longer, providing higher mileage than its predecessor, the Potenza S001*2.
